HAUTE DOG | CHICAGO will be returning to The Peninsula for a 4th year. As one of Chicago’s premiere events, this furry twist on a high-end fashion show not only features some of Chicago’s finest people modeling the latest trends, but some of Chicago’s most couture canines as well.
On Thursday, September 19 that catwalk will go to the dogs for an unforgettable evening. This year the runway will come to life as our human friends showcase the latest trends from By:Fashionaholic and Burdi. Tails in the City will be ensuring that all of our four-legged friends are turning heads as they stroll down the runway. Returning to emcee and host this unique evening is Candace Jordan and her couture canine, Rooney.
There is more to the evening than just fashion and fabulous canines, the heart of this event is supporting Canine Companions for Independence®. Canine Companions is a national non-profit that transforms the lives of children, adults and veterans with disabilities by providing expertly-trained assistance dogs that help with practical daily tasks as well as provide unconditional love and acceptance – free of charge. This powerful relationship leads to increased independence, self-esteem and inclusion for a person with a disability. The value of each Canine Companions team, from the breeding of the dog through training, placement and retirement, is $50,000. Through events, like HAUTE DOG I CHICAGO, and donor support, Canine Companions is able to continue to provide these amazing dogs, free of charge, to every recipient.
