DiNaso’s Traveling World of Reptiles on WGN Radio
A funny thing happened to me in Buffalo Grove while waiting for my sister. I met Dave DiNaso’s reticulated python; I was very impressed with his snake and told him so. And he recognized my voice. Next thing you know, Dave Ninaso of DiNaso’s Traveling World of Reptiles can be heard HERE on my Steve Dale’s Pet World, WGN Radio show.
DiNaso says he was born to educate people about reptiles and even arachnids.
Of course, we had a reptile story that made national news this past summer with a young alligator in the Humboldt Park Lagoon and a year ago an alligator swimming near Waukegan in Lake Michigan. These animals posed no threat to people, but the poor animals were acquired as pets and dumped – and would have died if not found.
Without spiders eating mosquitoes and other insects, we’d be inhaling insects ever time we breathed. Okay – like spiders now? We talk about venomous animals in Illinois and in the U.S.
We talked about where to get reptile pets from….and what to get in the first place – Dave’s favorite reptiles for novice reptile owners.
Dave does something rarely done on WGN radio – he impersonates a baby alligator.
Dave explains what he does to support education regarding reptiles and amphibians.
