Dr. Mary Gardner is doing something to help following the devastation in the Bahamas as a result of Hurricane Dorian this past September. Lots of pets remain missing (and presumed dead), and many street dogs and cats no doubt didn’t survive. Gardner says the shelter she knows best, Humane Society of Grand Bahama Island lost nearly 100 animals. She says the shelter once offered locals veterinary services, and Gardner is sending over equipment and medications.
Humane Society of Grand Bahama Island needs help, financial or equipment.
