Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control, Riding a Bicycle for Homeless Animals

James and Sharon Pierce with Charlie Propsom from Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control chat about  Miles for Max.

The Pearces even tear up a little as they tell the story. This is the Pearce’s 500 mile, 7-day journey across  Iowa in memory of their dog Max, all to raise dollars for Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. The Pearce’s raised about $20,000 for Friends. Talk about making a difference.

The Pearce’s just opened a restaurant, Firefly Kitchen in Wilmette, a Brooklyn-style bistro.

Also, listen HERE on Steve Dale’s Pet World for the conversation about riding across – not-so-flat Iowa.

Also, Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control Founder Propsom makes a big time announcement: I will serve as the Honorary Chairperson of the Chicago Friends of Animal Care and Control Big Night celebration on October 8, 6 p.m. at the Chicago Cultural Center,  78 E. Washington St. Tastings from more chefs than ever before! Help Chicago’s MOST needy pets, please attend!
