Grey Muzzle Organization

Most dogs in shelters and rescues are older, and still the most challenging to adopt. Lisa Lunghofer is the executive director of the Grey Muzzle Organization, which provides grants to non-profits to support senior dog adoptions and rescues. I speak with Lisa on my Steve Dale’s Pet World radio show.
It’s true these older dogs are – after all, older. But they’ve typically done nothing wrong that they’ve landed in a shelter or rescue.
Grey Muzzle supports senior adopters rescuing and adopting senior dogs, and supports keeping dogs in homes of seniors.
One of the challenges is the high cost of dental care for older pets in shelters and rescue, which sometimes the Grey Muzzle Organization is able to support. That’s done through the sales of the annual Grey Muzzle Organization calendar. Get the 2019 Grey Muzzle Calendar.
