What Is Being a Responsible Pet Owner?

Share

February is Responsible Pet Owner Month. I stop people on the street and ask, “What does it mean to be a responsible pet owner?”

Some of the answers were really good.

I also wore a unique time transport device to reach out to Dr. Natalie Marks to ask her what it means to be a responsible pet owner. Answers include: preventive veterinary care, proper exercise and nutrition, and reducing fear and stress, which can easily be achieved using pheromone products like Adaptil and Feliway.

I add to never declaw cats (especially now with a new product to encourage vertical post scratching called Feliscratch). And, I talk about enriched environments and always walking dogs on a leash.
