Veterinarian Shoots and Kills Cat with Bow and Arrow
Killing a cat with a bow and arrow, and boasting about it – that’s disgusting.
The person who shot the arrow – a veterinarian. Now, that is shocking! It is also incredibly sad, and totally inexcusably outrageous.
Dr, Kristen Lindsey, a Washington County, Texas veterinarian could face charges, after bragging about killing a cat with a bow and arrow. Lindsey posted a picture on her Facebook page (seen here) of her holding an arrow that is sticking through the head of a dead cat.
The post reads “My first bow kill, lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it’s head! Vet of the year award … Gladly accepted.”
The Facebook post quickly went viral and prompted numerous calls to the Brenham Police Department and Washington County Animal Control.
Brenham police say the cat was shot in Austin County. The Austin County Sheriff’s Office told KBTX-TV it is investigating.
The clinic Linsdsey worked for, Washington Animal Clinic posted the following comment on their FB page:
Dear Friends, Clients, and other interested folks. We just learned of the conduct that is discussed below. We are absolutely appalled, shocked, upset, and disgusted by the conduct. We have parted ways with Ms. Lindsey. We do not allow such conduct and we condemn it in the strongest possible manner. Please know that when informed of this we responded swiftly and appropriately and please do not impute this awful conduct to the Washington Animal Clinic or any of its personnel.
The clinic did the right thing, hope prosecutors do as well. In my personal opinion Dr. Lindsey should face felony animal cruelty charges. That’s right. I make no apologies for saying this, and meaning it.
